Philadelphia Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway has been fined $2,000 for embellishment, the NHL announced Friday.
The incident occurred during the third period of the Flyers' 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins last Saturday. No penalty was called on the play.
It was the second time Hathaway had been cited for embellishment, which resulted in a fine.
He was issued a warning following an incident against the Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 2.
Hathaway has seven goals and seven assists in 74 games with the Flyers this season.
