The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Tristan Broz to three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Saturday.
Broz will join Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League for the remainder of the season on an amateur tryout.
The 21-year-old from Bloomington, Minn., captured the national championship with the University of Denver this season and was named to the all-tournament team after scoring two overtime goals.
He recorded 40 points (16 goals and 24 assists) in 43 games during the regular season.
Broz was drafted in the second round, 58th overall, by the Penguins in 2021.
