The Nashville Predators and New York Rangers have swapped forwards.
The teams announced Saturday that the Predators acquired Adam Edstrom from the Rangers in exchange for Massimo Rizzo and a fifth-round pick (148th overall) in the 2026 NHL Draft.
Edstrom, 25, appeared in 35 games for the Rangers in 2025-26, recording three goals and two assists.
Drafted 161st overall by the Rangers in 2019, the Swede has 10 goals and six assists in 97 career NHL games, all with New York.
Edstrom has one year remaining on a two-year contract worth $1.95 million.
Rizzo, also 25, was drafted 216th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2019.
From Burnaby, B.C., Rizzo played 29 games for the Reading Royals of the ECHL last season and 14 games in the AHL — one for the Providence Bruins and 13 for the Milwaukee Admirals.
