While play might be paused for two weeks, there was still some minor NHL action off the ice.
The Nashville Predators claimed defenceman Andreas Englund off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
Englund, 29, has one goal and no assists in 11 games with the Kings this season.
He played all 82 contests for Los Angeles last year, recording one goal, nine helpers and 81 penalty minutes.
The left-handed blue-liner was selected in the second round of the 2014 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators, where he played 33 games over four seasons. His 173-game NHL career also includes time with the Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks.
Meanwhile, Seattle Kraken forward Mitchell Stephens passed through waivers unclaimed.
