The Nashville Predators have locked up a promising young restricted free agent.
Luke Evangelista has signed a two-year, $6-million contract, sources confirmed to Sportsnet on Friday.
The 23-year-old right-shot winger had 32 points last season (10 goals, 22 assists) in 68 games with the Predators.
Evangelista finished ninth in Calder Trophy voting during his rookie season when he scored 16 goals and added 23 helpers over 80 games.
The 42nd overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft signed late after just completing his three-year entry-level deal.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman previously reported on "32 Thoughts: The Podcast" that Nashville had offered Evangelista $4 million over two years.
Evangelista was the last remaining unsigned RFA.
