The New York Rangers acquired defenceman Ty Emberson from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for defenceman Patrik Nemeth, a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and a future conditional pick.

The second pick will be either New York's third-round pick in 2024, or its 2026 second-round pick.

Emberson appeared in 58 games for the Tucson Roadrunners in the American Hockey League last season, scoring four goals and adding seven assists.

The 30-year-old Nemeth scored two goals and five assists in 63 regular-season games with the Rangers in 2021-22 and appeared in five playoff games during the team's post-season run.
