The New York Rangers have added forward Alexis Lafreniere to the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.
In 37 games this season, Lafreniere has eight goals and 11 points. The 20-year-old was the first-overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Forward Lauri Pajuniemi has been recalled from the taxi squad. In 27 games this season in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Pack, Pajuniemi has seven goals and 15 points.
