The New York Rangers have acquired forward Jack Roslovic in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets, the teams announced.
The Blue Jackets will receive a conditional fourth-round draft pick in return. Aaron Portzline reported the conditional pick turns into a third-rounder of the Rangers reach the Stanley Cup Final.
Roslovic, a Columbus native, is in the final year of a two-year, $8-million contract and will be a free agent this summer. He has 23 points in 40 games this season.
The Blue Jackets are retaining 50 per cent of Roslovic's contract.
This is the second major move the Rangers have made this week after adding centre Alex Wennberg from the Kraken on Wednesday.
