The New York Rangers have agreed to a two-year deal with defenceman Braden Schneider.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports that Schneider's new deal will come with a $2.2 million cap hit.
The 22-year-old defenceman had five goals and 10 points while averaging 15:53 of ice time in 82 games.
The Prince Albert, Sask., native was selected in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft by New York.
