The New York Rangers and Brendan Lemieux have settled on a two-year contract, avoiding arbitration.
As reported by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the deal carries an average annual value of $1.55 million.

Lemieux had six goals and 18 points in 59 games with the Rangers last season, his second as a member of the team.
The 24-year-old appeared in one game during the NHL’s return to play, but failed to register a point.
Originally selected in the second round, 31st overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, Lemieux has scored 19 goals and added 17 assists in 131 career games.
