The New York Rangers were without Chris Kreider as they took on the Pittsburgh Penguins Sunday afternoon.
Kreider was ruled out by the team with an upper-body injury, and is considered day-to-day going forward.
According to the New York Post's Mollie Walker, Kreider took line rushes before the game but ended up as a late scratch with the injury.
The 33-year-old played in New York's loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, scoring a goal and logging 15:02 of ice time.
Kreider played with Team USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off. He was a healthy scratch to begin the tournament for the Americans, but ultimately scored one goal in his two games played.
With the Rangers this season, the 13-year NHL veteran had 17 goals and four assists in 48 games.
