The New York Rangers are getting a boost as they kick off the Eastern Conference Final against the Florida Panthers.
Forward Filip Chytil, who was unable to stay in the Rangers lineup after returning from injury in Game 3 of their second-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes, took warmups and will play in Game 1.
Chytil missed all but 10 regular-season games due to a head injury that saw him placed on long-term injured reserve by the club.
In his one-game return against Carolina, Chytil logged 12:02 minutes of ice time and recorded one shot on goal. He was ruled out for the next three games of the series after not feeling well before Game 4.
In the regular season, the 24-year-old picked up six assists.
You can watch the Rangers and Panthers battle it out in Game 1 on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
