The latest update to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols list featured some good news and some bad news for New York-area teams.

The Rangers added defenceman Adam Fox and forward Pavel Buchnevich to the protocols list, one day after forward Phillip Di Giuseppe was added to the list. All three players will not be in the lineup against the Flyers Monday.

Across the bay, the Islanders removed centre Jean-Gabriel Pageau from the list one day after he was placed on it. Pageau and defenceman Noah Dobson both missed Sunday's win over the Devils after being added to the list. Dobson remained on it in the latest update.

Finally, L.A. Kings defenceman Olli Maatta was removed from the list after first being added on Friday.

Oilers centre Kyle Turris and Devils defenceman Will Butcher are the only other players currently in protocols.

Any player on the COVID-19 protocols list has not necessarily tested positive for the coronavirus but must remain isolated from their team until they have been cleared by testing.
