The New York Rangers won't have Matt Rempe in the lineup as they look to advance to Round 3 on Thursday.
Rempe played 6:01 in Monday's Game 5 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, but will be a healthy scratch in Game 6 with New York leading the series 3-2.
The Rangers will also still be without forward Filip Chytil. Chytil, who hadn't played since November, returned to the lineup for Game 3. But ahead of Game 4, head coach Peter Laviolette said he wasn't feeling great.
The 24-year-old Czech forward missed all but 10 regular-season games due to a head injury that saw him placed on long-term injured reserve by the club. He has not played in the series since Game 3.
With both Rempe and Chytil out, forward Jonny Brodzinski will slot into the lineup for just the second time this post-season. He played 8:49 in Game 3.
You can watch the Rangers try and close out the Hurricanes in Game 6 live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
