The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with forward Brody Lamb on a two-year entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.
Lamb, 22, served as a captain of the Minnesota Golden Gophers NCAA team this season. He had 14 goals and a career-high 30 points in 35 games,
Over his four seasons with Minnesota, the six-foot-one forward recorded 44 assists, 47 goals and 91 points in 152 games. Lamb also earned Big Ten Conference Second Star of the Week honours three times during his college career.
The Minnesota native was selected by the Rangers in the fourth round, 104th overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft. Before joining Minnesota, Lamb played for the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL, recording 41 points in 62 games during the 2021-22 season.
