The New York Rangers' roster shake-up continues.
The team is dealing defenceman Will Borgen to the Boston Bruins, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Wednesday.
Per The Athletic's Peter Baugh, the Rangers will receive a 2027 second-round pick and a conditional 2028 third-round pick in return.
The 2028 third-rounder becomes a second-rounder if the Bruins make either of the next two Eastern Conference Finals with Borgen playing 50 per cent of the post-season games, per Baugh.
In 75 games last season with the Rangers, the 29-year-old had five goals and 15 points.
Prior to joining the Rangers in December 2024, Borgen played parts of four seasons with the Kraken, including back-to-back 82-game, 20-plus point campaigns in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
The Moorehead, Minn., native was drafted 92nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres and played 14 games in Western New York before heading to Seattle in the 2021 expansion draft.
