The Detroit Red Wings and forward Adam Erne have settled on a two-year deal, the club announced Sunday.

Per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Erne's deal is worth $4.2 million.

Erne, 26, had filed for salary arbitration after the expiration of the one-year, $997,500 deal he signed with Detroit in 2020. He and the club were able to come to terms on a deal before the winger's Aug. 21 arbitration date.

The New Haven, Conn., native has spent the past two years with the Red Wings after beginning his career with a trio of seasons in Tampa Bay. He's amassed 25 points through 101 games wearing Red Wings colours, putting up 11 goals and 20 points in 45 games in 2020-21.
