The Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning are swapping some organizational depth.
Detroit acquired forwards Wojciech Stachowiak and Michael Milne from Tampa Bay on Thursday in exchange for defenceman Ian Mitchell, the teams announced.
All three players have spent the entirety of the 2025-26 season in the AHL.
Stachowiak, 26, has nine goals and eight assists in 38 games for the Syracuse Crunch. The Polish winger had previously spent time with Ingolstadt ERC in Germany.
Milne, 23, had one assist in 19 games with Syracuse. He began the year with the Iowa Wild and was dealt to Tampa Bay in December in exchange for Boris Katchouk.
The Abbotsford, B.C., native made his NHL debut in 2024-25 with Minnesota, skating in one game.
Mitchell, finally, had four goals and 16 assists in 45 games with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins. The St. Albert, Alta., native had previously played in parts of five NHL seasons with Chicago and Boston. He has 110 games of NHL experience, with four goals, 15 assists and a minus-17 rating.
