Red Wings sign defenceman Shayne Gostisbehere to one-year, $4.125M contract

The Detroit Red Wings have signed defenceman Shayne Gostisbehere to a one-year, $4.125 million deal, the team announced Saturday.

The veteran defenceman was dealt to the Carolina Hurricanes for a third-round pick by the Arizona Coyotes at this season's NHL trade deadline.

Gostisbehere was drafted in the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft. He has 87 goals and 224 assists in 538 career games with the Flyers, Coyotes and Hurricanes.
