The Detroit Red Wings and newly acquired forward Klim Kostin have agreed to a two-year contract worth an average annual value of $2 million.
Kostin, who was an unrestricted free agent after the Red Wings didn't issue him a qualifying offer Friday, was acquired in a trade from the Edmonton Oilers earlier this week.
Last season with the Oilers, the 24-year-old had 11 goals and 21 points in 57 games. As a six-foot-three power forward, he will add some more size to a Red Wings team looking to push for the playoffs.
