Red Wings trade defenceman Troy Stecher to Kings for seventh-round pick

The Los Angeles Kings acquired defenceman Troy Stecher from the Detroit Red Wings for a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft on Sunday.

Stecher, 27, has one goal and one assist in 16 games this season while averaging 15:08 in ice time.

The Richmond, B.C., native was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Vancouver Canucks in 2016. He has 88 points — 15 goals and 73 assists — in four seasons with the Canucks and two with the Red Wings.
