Vladimir Tarasenko is heading to his sixth team in just two and a half years.
The Minnesota Wild announced Monday that they have acquired the veteran winger from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for future considerations.
Tarasenko, 33, recorded 33 points (11 goals and 22 assists) in 80 games last season with Detroit.
Originally drafted 16th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2010, Tarasenko spent 10 years with the organization before being traded to the New York Rangers midway through the 2022-23 season.
The Russian winger split the 2023-24 campaign between the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers, then signed a two-year, $9.5-million contract with the Red Wings on July 3, 2024.
The two-time Stanley Cup winner has 662 points (304 goals and 358 assists) in 831 career NHL games, along with 73 points (49 goals and 24 assists) in 121 playoff appearances.
