NHL teams disappointed with their depth now have some options.
A whopping 15 players were placed on waivers Tuesday, including Ethan Bear of the New York Islanders and Dennis Cholowski of the New York Rangers, James Mirtle of The Athletic reported.
The New York squads were busy, with the Rangers also cutting loose centres Justin Dowling and Jusso Parssinen alongside defenceman Urho Vaakanainen. The Islanders also waived goalie Henrik Tikkanen.
Elsewhere, the Detroit Red Wings waived six players, including defenceman William Lagesson and forward John Leonard. The Dallas Stars cut loose goalie Brandon Halverson, the Nashville Predators waived forward Jacob Lucchini and the Washington Capitals cut forward Ludwig Persson.
Meanwhile, everyone on waivers Monday cleared, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported, making Derrick Pouliot of the Chicago Blackhawks and Jon-Randall Avon, Logan Morrison, John Hayden and Victor Östman of the Seattle Kraken all AHL-bound.
