The Colorado Avalanche will be without a key forward for the foreseeable future.
Artturi Lehkonen is expected to be out week-to-week with an upper-body injury, according to multiple reports.
The nine-year pro suffered the injury in Monday's win over the Los Angeles Kings. He logged just 3:21 of ice time in the contest.
Lehkonen has been very effective for the Avalanche this season with 19 goals and 23 assists. He's also a plus-31 through 59 games.
Colorado could potentially place the 30-year-old on the injured reserve to free up a roster spot ahead of Friday's trade deadline.
The Avalanche lead the Central Division with 89 points.
