Fans of the Columbus Blue Jackets and the United States team at the 4 Nations Face-Off can seemingly breathe a sigh of relief.
Zach Werenski was back in the lineup Thursday night against the Utah Hockey Club after being listed as a game-time decision.
The star defenceman suffered an upper-body injury on Sunday against the Stars and missed Tuesday's game against the Sabres.
Werenski has vaulted up into Norris Trophy contention this season. He is third among all defencemen with 57 points and second behind only Cale Makar with 17 goals. He is expected to be a key contributor to the United States team at next week's 4 Nations Face-Off.
