The Carolina Hurricanes are signing defenceman Caleb Jones to a one-year deal worth $775,000, the team announced Thursday.
Jones, the younger brother of NHL defenceman Seth Jones, had four goals and 16 points in 73 games for the Chicago Blackhawks last season.
The 26-year-old was a fourth-round selection of the Edmonton Oilers back in the 2015 NHL Draft. He played in 93 regular season games for the Oilers, scoring five goals and dishing out 14 assists.
