The Pittsburgh Penguins have cancelled their practice and scrimmage Saturday out of an abundance of caution due to potential exposure of COVID-19, according to NHL.com's Wes Crosby.

The move comes a day after the NHL was forced to delay the start of the Dallas Stars' season in light of six players and two staff members testing positive for the novel coronavirus.

The Columbus Blue Jackets also announced Friday that multiple players would miss practice due to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols.
