Pius Suter has cashed in on his career year with the Vancouver Canucks.
The St. Louis Blues are signing the centreman to a two-year deal with an average annual value of $4.125 million, the team announced Wednesday.
Suter, 29, recorded career highs in goals (25) and points (46) and matched his career high in assists (21) over 81 games last season with the Canucks.
Before joining Vancouver as a free agent ahead of the 2023-24 season, Suter played for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.
Across 364 career NHL games, the undrafted Swiss player has a total of 162 points (80 goals and 82 assists).
Suter’s new salary is a steep increase from his previous deal, which saw him earn $1.6 million over the past two seasons.
