The Rangers will be without centre Filip Chytil on Saturday, just one game after playing his first game since November.
Head coach Peter Laviolette told media ahead of Game 4 that Chytil felt great on Friday, after having played in his first game since Nov. 2, but did not feel good on Saturday, according to Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today.
It became apparent that he would not play Saturday after Chytil did not dress for warmups. Jonny Brodzinski is in the lineup in his place
The 24-year-old Czech forward missed all but 10 regular-season games due to a head injury that saw him placed on long-term injured reserve by the club.
Chytil was activated ahead of Game 3 of the Rangers' second-round series game against the Hurricanes and played 12:02 minutes.
Saturday's Game 4, where the Rangers can sweep the Hurricanes, can be seen at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
