The Buffalo Sabres have avoided disaster at the start of training camp.
An injury to star defenceman Rasmus Dahlin suffered on Wednesday is "nothing too serious," coach Lindy Ruff told reporters Thursday.
Ruff guessed Dahlin would miss a couple of days of practice.
Dahlin left the ice a few minutes into practice Wednesday, with the team later saying he would not be returning.
Picked first overall by the Sabres in the 2018 NHL Draft, Dahlin had 20 goals and 39 assists in 81 games last season.
The Swedish defenceman has appeared in the NHL All-Star Game the past three years.
Dahlin has 66 goals and 226 assists in 436 career games.
