The Buffalo Sabres have placed defenceman Rasmus Dahlin on the injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. In a corresponding move, they have added recent trade acquisition Riley Stillman to the active roster, per the team.
Dahlin has missed the past two games for the Sabres and is set to miss Thursday's matchup against division-rival Boston Bruins. He last appeared in Buffalo's 3-1 win over the Florida Panthers on Feb. 24.
The 22-year-old has had a breakout year, scoring 14 goals and tacking on 48 assists. He was also named an All-Star for the first time, replacing teammate Tage Thompson.
Stillman, meanwhile, was acquired by the Sabres on Feb. 27 from the Vancouver Canucks in a deal sending prospect Josh Bloom the other way.
The 24-year-old defenceman has appeared in 32 NHL games this season and has notched five assists. If he plays, it will be his debut with the Sabres.
