Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn exited Saturday's win against the San Jose Sharks with a lower-body injury in the third period, just over a month after returning from an Achilles injury.
After the 5-2 victory, coach Don Granato said "it's certainly not day-to-day" when asked for a potential timeline on Quinn.
The 22-year-old forward could not put any weight on his left leg after he was hit by San Jose's Tomas Hertl.
Quinn suffered the Achilles injury while training in the summer.
"It was devastating to see him go down the way he did," Granato said.
Quinn has five goals and six assists in 16 games this season.
The Sabres picked the Ottawa 67's product eighth overall in the 2020 NHL Draft.
