Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn is expected to miss 4-6 months after undergoing surgery on Wednesday for an Achilles tendon injury suffered during off-season training, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
The surgery ensures Quinn will miss the start of the season.
The 21-year-old winger had 14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points in 75 games in his first full campaign for Buffalo this past season.
The Sabres picked the Ottawa 67's product in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
In his first pro season, Quinn was named AHL rookie of the year after putting up 26 goals and 35 assists in 61 games for Rochester in 2021-22.
