The Buffalo Sabres re-signed defenceman Ryan Johnson to a three-year contract Tuesday.
The deal carries an AAV of $775,000.
Johnson, who was a restricted free agent, appeared in three games with the Sabres this past season.
He spent most of the year with the AHL's Rochester Americans and had two goals and 11 assists in 66 games during the regular season. Johnson added one assist in eight playoff games.
The 23-year-old from Newport Beach, Calif., was drafted in the first round, 31st overall, by the Sabres in 2019.
He played four seasons at the University of Minnesota before joining Buffalo in 2023.
Johnson has seven assists in 44 career games over two seasons with the Sabres.
