The Buffalo Sabres have signed goaltender Craig Anderson to a one-year contract extension worth $1.5 million.

The veteran joined the Sabres last season after playing only four games for the Washington Capitals the year prior. In 31 starts, Anderson held a 17-12-2 record with an .897 save percentage and a 3.12 goals against average.

He became the sixth American goalie to reach 300 career wins on March 10 with a 3-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. Anderson turned 41 on May 21.
