Buffalo Sabres defenceman Mattias Samuelsson exited Friday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers with a lower-body injury, the team said.
After a 5-1 loss, Sabres coach Don Granato said he had no further update.
Samuelsson was playing on Buffalo's top defence pair with Rasmus Dahlin.
The 23-year-old has one goal and two assists in 11 games this season. Last year, Samuelsson had two goals and eight assists in 55 games.
The Sabres picked Samuelsson in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Buffalo travels to Toronto to face the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
