Sabres sign defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin to two-year, $5.5M deal

The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin to a two-year deal with an average annual value of $2.75 million, Sportsnet can confirm.

The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Lyubushkin in a trade with the Arizona Coyotes in February.

The Russian finished the season with a combined two goals and 13 assists in 77 games with Toronto and Arizona.

The undrafted Lyubushkin originally signed with the Coyotes prior to the 2018-19 season.
