The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with their most recent first-round pick.
Defenceman Radim Mrtka, who was selected ninth overall in June's draft, signed a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced on Tuesday.
Mrtka, 18, played 43 games with the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds last season, collecting 35 points (three goals, 32 assists).
The six-foot-six right shot previously played in his native Czechia's Extraliga and competed in the U18 worlds in back-to-back years.
