Buffalo Sabres centre Tage Thompson will miss Thursday's game against the Nashville Predators with an upper-body injury, the team said.
The Sabres added Thompson is day-to-day.
Thompson, who missed three weeks earlier this season with a wrist injury, has 18 goals and 17 assists for 35 points in 53 games this season.
His numbers are down from last season when Thompson finished with 47 goals and 47 assists.
