Sam Gagner is looking to keep his playing career going after signing a professional tryout with the AHL's Belleville Senators.
Gagner slotted into the lineup for Friday's game against the Hershey Bears, picking up a single assist in Belleville's 4-3 overtime win.
The 35-year-old played 28 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season, registering 10 points while adding nine points in 15 games with the Bakersfield Condors in the AHL.
Gagner was selected sixth overall by the Oilers in 2007 and has 197 goals and 529 in 1,043 career games.
The Ottawa Senators are desperate for scoring, having been shut out in three of their past five games.
