The San Jose Sharks have re-signed defenceman Ty Emberson to a one-year, $950,000 contract, the team announced on Thursday.
Emberson, 24, saw his first taste of NHL action last season, tallying one goal and nine assists in 30 games with the Sharks.
However, he missed a good chunk of time over the season due to injury, including a season-ending lower-body injury on Feb. 29.
The six-foot-two blue-liner was picked off the waivers before the season after spending the 2022-23 campaign playing for the Hartford Wolf Pack, the New York Rangers' AHL affiliate. He was originally drafted by the Arizona Coyotes 73rd-overall in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
