The San Jose Sharks signed defenceman Gannon Laroque to a three-year, $2,602,500 entry-level contract, interim general manager Joe Will announced on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old Laroque had 10 goals and 52 points in 63 games with the Victoria Royals of the WHL this past season. He played three games with the San Jose Barracuda this spring.
