The Ottawa Senators have acquired goaltender Michael McNiven from the Calgary Flames in exchange for future considerations.

McNiven was previously acquired by the Flames from the Montreal Canadiens for future considerations earlier this month. He has one NHL appearance, which came with the Canadiens earlier this season.

The 24-year-old is a pending restricted free agent on a one-year, $750,000 contract.

Ottawa signed netminder Anton Forsberg to a three-year extension earlier Monday and now had three goalies under NHL contracts next season.
