The Ottawa Senators have added the services of veteran defenceman Travis Hamonic from the Vancouver Canucks.

Vancouver gets back their 2022 third-round pick as part of the deal which Ottawa originally acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights.

The 12-year veteran picked up three goals and four assists in 24 games for the Canucks this season. The former second-round pick by the New York Islanders in 2008 signed a two-year, $6 million deal with the Canucks during the offseason.

Hamonic's next game will be his 700th in the NHL.
