The Ottawa Senators have signed one of their prospects.
Defenceman Gabriel Eliasson agreed to terms with the Senators on a three-year, entry-level contract set to begin in the 2026-27 season, the team announced Wednesday.
The six-foot-seven blue-liner played the past two seasons with the OHL's Barrie Colts, logging 124 games and recording five goals and 15 points in that time.
"Gabriel’s game has matured since we drafted him," Senators general manager Steve Staios said in a statement released by the team. "We’ve been pleased with his development and his character and work ethic fit in perfectly with the team we’re building."
The Senators selected the 19-year-old in the second round (39th overall) at the 2024 NHL Draft.
