Ottawa Senators goaltender Matt Murray has taken over in net after starter Marcus Hogberg left the game in the first period.
After Auston Matthews scored the first goal of the game for the Leafs, Hogberg left straight for the dressing room during a TV timeout. It is not yet clear why Hogberg left the game.
Murray was in net for the Senators’ 2-1 loss to the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, and is now playing in a back-to-back scenario.
