The Ottawa Senators will get some reinforcements as they continue their road trip out on the West Coast.
Defenceman Dennis Gilbert has been recalled from the AHL's Belleville Senators, the team announced on Monday.
It is the second time that the 29-year-old has been with the Senators this season.
The news also comes with Jake Sanderson forced to leave Saturday's game against the Seattle Kraken.
Gilbert was acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers on Nov. 17 in exchange for defenceman Maxence Guenette.
He has only appeared in one game with Ottawa this season. In 37 games with Belleville, Gilbert has 13 points.
In 112 career games, Gilbert has three goals and 20 points.
