The Ottawa Senators will be without Ridly Greig to start the 2026-27 season.
Greig was suspended by the NHL for two regular-season games, the league announced on Monday.
The suspension comes after an incident in which Greig roughed up Carolina Hurricanes defenceman Sean Walker.
Midway through the second period of Game 4 of the Senators' and Hurricanes' first-round series, a skirmish broke out between both sides where Greig was seen to be winding up his right hand and delivering an uppercut to the body of Walker.
The Senators ended up getting swept by the Hurricanes.
