The Ottawa Senators are bringing a familiar face back.
The team announced Sunday that defenceman Lassi Thomson has been signed to a one-year, two-way contract for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $300,000 in the minors.
Thomson, 24, was drafted by the Senators as the 19th overall pick in 2019.
The Finnish blue-liner has appeared in 18 NHL games with the Senators, collecting five assists. He has also played 202 games for Ottawa's AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators, recording 24 goals and 93 points.
Thomson spent the 2024-25 season with Malmö in the Swedish Hockey League, where he notched 17 goals and 29 points in 50 games.
