The Ottawa Senators have signed defenceman Zac Leslie to a one-year, two-way contract.

Leslie's contract will be pro-rated for the 2021-22 season and carry a $750,000 cap hit in the NHL and $150,000 in the AHL.

Leslie was playing for the Belleville Senators on an AHL contract recording two assists in nine games this season. The Ottawa native has yet to play a game in the NHL.

The 27-year-old was a sixth-round pick by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2013 NHL Draft. In 304 career AHL games, Leslie has 105 points and was a member of the 2013-14 Guelph Storm team that won the OHL Championship.
